<dc:description>Marjory was one of two Honorary Secretaries of the branch and Sarah was the President. An entry in the minute book for 6 Oct 1910 records details of an upcoming meeting in Oldham at which Miss Robertson of the North of England Society of Women Suffrage will speak and try and establish a group in Oldham. A later entry for 25 Nov 1910 reports that this meeting was held and addressed by both Miss Robertson and Mrs Fawcett and as a result a Society for Women's Suffrage was established in Oldham and by the 25 Nov, 160 members had joined.</dc:description>
