  <dc:description>The sketch-book bears Sam Fitton's name, and the stamp of 'Watson's Art Depot, 141 Union St., Oldham.' It is a hard-bound volume of drawings in pencil, pen and Indian ink. Some two dozen of these are finely-drawn portraits and studies of figures and cats. No persons are identified other than 'The Professor', and 'Shylock'. Only one drawing is dated, at '1910'.
