Mr Derbyshire offers his skills as a fitter to help with the school's maintenance and comments on his familiarity with the area, having been a spotter during the war at the school. At the top of the page, in pencil, is a draft reply stating that the Lodge is currently undergoing repairs and will then be occupied by a caretaker for the school.
