TitlePersonal Correspondence
DescriptionThese few papers principally comprise letters between Sam Fitton and Russell Markland, a fellow member of the Lancashire Authors' Association, about the publication of some of Fitton's poetry and verse. Two letters from and to Annette Fitton, his second wife, and widow, complete the class. They have been arranged in date order. As with much of Fitton's work, his letters include small [self portrait sketches]. The biography of Fitton by Sam G. Taylor, editor of the Cotton Factory Times (FIT/4/1/2) provides valuable information about the author.
