TitlePencil, Pen and Indian Ink
DescriptionThe illustrations have been drawn on card or paper, mainly with pen, brush and Indian ink, over pencil. There are a few pencil sketches. The drawings include those made to accompany some of Fitton's literary works, prospective commercial advertisements and cartoons. Some of these cartoons, as well as being purely comic, comment on a variety of subjects and social issues, including the co-operative movement and trade. Despite their creator's origins, there is very little reflection on the cotton industry in these works.
