1 - Estimate of the quantity of land adjoining the Blue Coat School belonging to Robert Radcliffe, Esq.
2 - Letter to William Slater from Edward Loyd, sending his apologies for being unable to attend the forthcoming meeting, giving his support to any decision made by the trustees about raising funds to purchase the field adjoining the school and reminding them that, if death duty had to be paid income would diminish considerably

8 - Letter to Mr Joseph Jones from William Slater, includes a copy of the letter of 15 Nov 1836 from Mr Robert Radcliffe, agreeing to the sale of the land to the school and stating the asking price [See S64/9/1/7 for original]. Also includes draft notes on Mr Jones opinion about and recommendation to accept the asking price, whilst also expressing doubts as to how the money will be raised
9 - Letter to William Slater, Esq from Joseph Jones, giving his opinion about the asking price for the land from Mr Radcliffe and the recommendation to accept it, despite the fact that raising the money might be difficult. Also includes a list of subscriptions to the fund to purchase additional land for the school.
10 - Letter to Messers Cirie and Slater from Messers Elliott and Stott, requesting information on the state of affairs regarding the purchase of land from Mr Radcliffe. As the tenant has now quit the land thus causing additional expense and loss of income from rent for the seller it is suggested that interest on the purchase amount is desirable to cover the lost revenue.
11 - Letter to Messers Slater and Heelis from Elliott and Stott, regarding the proposed land purchase from Mr Radcliffe, stating that, as a considerable time has elapsed since the initial agreement to purchase, either ground rent or interest on the purchase price is now expected to compensate for lost revenue. It also expressed a desire for the sale to go through as quickly as possible.
12 - Letter to Joseph Jones of Walshaw House, Oldham, from Elliott and Stott, acknowledging receipt of £800 towards the purchase of land from Robert Radcliffe
13 - Letter to Messers Slater and Heelis from Elliott and Stott, reporting that Mr Radcliffe is not prepared to accept the suggestion that he take back the land and return the money already paid towards its purchase. It also reiterates a wish to finalise the conveyance of land between the parties as soon as possible, given the added urgency of Mr Radciffe's poor state of health and his desire to finalise during his lifetime.
14 - Letter to Messers Slater and Heelis from Joseph Jones of Spinning Bank, confirming receipt of the letter regarding the Blue Coat School ground and stating that he has contacted his agents, who should deal with the matter
15 - Letter to Messers Slater and Heelis from Joseph Jones, expressing his upset at receiving their communication regarding the Blue Coat ground and stating that he has contacted his agents and will visit them personally to try to resolve the issue
