1 - Letter from Mr J. Murray to Mr Slater, Solicitor, Manchester, updating him as to the state of health of the Blue Coat boys after a recent outbreak of fever at the school, and suggesting that, once they have sufficiently recovered, they be sent away for a time, while the school is thoroughly purified
2 - Letter from James Murray to the Trustees of the Oldham Blue Coat School, informing them of the state of health of the boys now that the ringworm problem has disappeared, calling their attention (again) to the necessity of having a warm bath in the house and advising them to send one particular boy elsewhere, for health reasons.
3 - Letter from James Murray to the Trustees of the Blue Coat School, reporting that, since their last meeting, the only medical issues of note to affect the boys have been 2 cases of scarlet fever (now successfully contained) and 6 cases of ringworm (still being treated)

He also advises them that a change of diet would benefit those boys still suffering from skin disease.
