Description | Admin History: To prevent the land adjacent to the school being developed, an approach was made to Mr Robert Radcliffe [one of the original donators of land to the school], requesting sale of the adjacent land. Mr Racliffe only reluctantly agreed to the sale, making an exception to his decision not to sell any further land as he was a supporter of the school. See 'History of Henshaw's Blue Coat School' by T. T. Richards [Ref PSF, p 38] for more information.
Scope and Content: This section contains correspondence regarding the sale of land between solicitors and Mr Joseph Jones. |
